Power Plays! 2
We all got together at 1pm, had a workshop about putting together, performing, and producing a show, everyone got divided into groups with a team leader, all the teams were given a theme (the same theme no less) and all teams were given until 8pm to create a piece of theatre to perform that evening.
Four brand new plays written, produced and performed on the theme of AGE.

(Notte del Partito) A stag and stagette: Adam (the groom) negotiates the conflicting expectations of his straight-laced brother Jake and his party-animal friend Monty, while Eve (the bride) weathers criticism from her sarcastic friend Jane while trying to keep a handle on her feather-brained sister Cecilia.
(Hardwire) Walt and Hank are perpetual grad students with different takes on the War of the Sexes.

Ever wanted to write a play? Maybe you've written one, but you don't know what to do with it?
Cape Breton Stage Company, in collaboration with Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre and the CBU Theatre Arts Society, presents Behind the Curtain, a free one-night event featuring readings of new plays in development, sneak previews of upcoming stage productions in Sydney, and a special presentation by Cape Breton's own Natasha MacLellan.

Having grown tired of waiting, the Devil decides to put an end to it. The world, that is. After announcing it on the evening news, the people of the world react in some very different ways. Some wonder about the things they want to accomplish, some dwell on the current problems they are facing, and one woman takes on a mission to stop the Devil in his nefarious plot. A new sketch comedy that questions why we are all here, what we have done since we got here, and how we're all going out; Part of the 'Summer Night Theatre Festival'; July and August, 2010.

Well here are all the answers to the questions you never knew you were asking. Time to find out all the secrets originally reserved for the kilted. Pipe Dreams is a one-woman comedy about a day in the life of one of these human tourist attractions. Witness all the exciting trials and tribulations contained in an eight hour shift in the parking lot of the Generic Celtic Craftshop in rural Cape Breton; Part of the 'Summer Night Theatre Festival'; July and August, 2010.
